Are Court Records Public in Coconino County?

Yes. Arizona Public Records Law and Supreme Court of Arizona Rule 123 authorizes all court records in the custody of any court clerk to be open to inspection by any person at all times during business hours. Coconino County Superior Court Case Search

The Coconino County Clerk of the Superior Court has general jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases, including felony and misdemeanor cases. Individuals can find Superior Court criminal and civil records online through the eAccess Portal. Users can search for case information by party name, case number, or case event. Registration is required to access this portal. After registration, the user must log in to the portal using an email address and secured password. Each record downloaded from the portal costs $10, but users can pay monthly subscriptions ranging from $80 to $10,000, depending on the number of documents downloaded monthly.

The Coconino County Clerk of the Superior Court also has a Case Search portal through which requesters can view records for free. A search can be conducted by name or case number. Select “Coconino County Superior” from the court drop-down to streamline the search. Coconino County Criminal Records

Coconino County only provides “background” or “criminal history checks” for individuals searching for their criminal records but does not issue criminal records on other persons for public use. The fee is $7, payable in cash or by check. Individuals with Section 8 Housing Authority letters can have their fees waived.

Coconino County Criminal Court Case Lookup

Get Coconino County Civil Court Records

The Coconino County Superior and Justice Courts both hear civil cases. The Superior Court handles all civil cases of $10,000 or more. Coconino County Family Court Records

The eAccess Portal provides a paid service allowing registered users to download family court documents from the comfort of their homes. Coconino Dissolution of Marriage Records

In Coconino County, dissolution of marriage records is used interchangeably with divorce records. These records are obtainable online and in person at the Superior Court. The Clerk of Court provides two online portals for registered and public users. Registered users can download copies of dissolution of marriage records through the eAccess Portal for a fee. Coconino County Marriage and Divorce Records

Coconino Birth and Death Records

Birth and death records are part of Coconino County public records. However, only individuals 18 or older can obtain a certified copy of the record. The following individuals are eligible to request birth or death records in Coconino County:

  • Registrant (only applicable to Coconino County birth certificates)
  • Parents, spouse, grandparents, and legal guardian
  • adult child, grandchild, and siblings

The CCHHS partners with a third-party vendor to make birth and death records available online to members of the public. This vendor charges extra processing fees in addition to the standard copy fees. The fees can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, or debit card.
